Abour project
Volta Studio is a Berlin-based spatial and interior design practice with a portfolio of ambitious commercial and residential projects across Europe. They came to Glyph Co. needing a website that could match the sophistication of their physical work — a digital space that felt as considered and immersive as the environments they create. The project was scoped as a full web design and development engagement, from initial wireframes through to a live Framer build.
The challenge
Spatial design work is notoriously difficult to translate into a digital format. The richness of a physical space — its scale, materiality, atmosphere — is almost always lost in the jump to a screen. The challenge was to design a web experience that could genuinely communicate the quality and ambition of Volta's work without relying on lengthy copy or conventional portfolio grid layouts that flatten everything into sameness.
The approach
We structured the site around immersive full-screen imagery and a deliberately slow, cinematic scroll experience. Typography was kept minimal and precise — small, confident captions letting the work breathe rather than compete with it. In Framer, we built custom scroll-driven transitions between project pages, giving the site a sense of continuous movement that mirrored the flow and intention of Volta's spatial work.
The outcome
Volta Studio's new site launched in late 2024 and immediately became their most effective business development tool. Inbound enquiries increased by 55% in the first two months post-launch, and the studio reported that new clients were consistently arriving at initial meetings already deeply familiar with their work — a direct result of a website that communicates with clarity and confidence.
