Abour project

Arkform Studio is a New York-based architecture and design consultancy working at the intersection of residential, commercial and cultural spaces. Having built a strong reputation through word of mouth over several years, they came to Glyph Co. ready to formalise their brand — to give their visual identity the same rigour and intentionality they bring to every project they take on. The engagement covered full brand identity, a comprehensive art direction system, and a set of brand guidelines built to scale with the studio as it grows.

The challenge

Architecture firms occupy a difficult branding middle ground — they need to feel premium and authoritative enough to attract high-value clients, while remaining warm and conceptual enough to appeal to cultural institutions and residential clients simultaneously. Arkform had no existing visual identity to speak of, and their previous communications had been inconsistent and ad hoc. The challenge was to create a cohesive identity system that could flex across a wide range of touchpoints without losing its integrity or distinctiveness.

The approach

We built the Arkform identity around the concept of precision with warmth — a typographic system that felt structured and architectural in its grid and spacing, but human in its proportions and details. The wordmark was set in a refined grotesque with carefully adjusted letter spacing, sitting alongside a secondary monogram mark for smaller applications. The art direction system established clear rules for photography, layout, colour use and typographic hierarchy — giving the Arkform team a toolkit they could use confidently across every context without needing to refer back to an agency.

The outcome

Arkform Studio launched their new identity in early 2025 and immediately reported a shift in how prospective clients perceived them in initial meetings. The brand has since been applied across their website, pitch decks, signage, stationery and social channels — all with total consistency. Within six months of launch, the studio secured two of their largest commissions to date, with both clients citing the professionalism and clarity of Arkform's brand as a factor in their decision to engage.
